On the 10th March 1971, Viroc International Limited joined forces with Michael Beckett Limited, the largest entertainment and catering organisation in the U.K.
Michael Beckett (Malta) Limited was formed under the auspices of the giant MECCA organisation. Combining its services with those of fellow members of the MECCA Group of Companies we provided a complete entertainment service from the planning and fitting of leisure centres to supplying and operating state of the art amusement centres. Mr. Attilio Vassallo Cesareo was elected to sit on the board of the MECCA Group of Companies in the UK.
On the Prime Minister's orders of the time, the Company was liquidated on the 18th January 1973 mainly due to the fact that proper legislation regulating amusement centres on the Maltese islands was not yet in place.
